Many of us think we know what we’re looking for when grocery shopping, but how many of you actually read the nutrition labels on the back of food products? Everyone wants to know how many calories are in each serving, but many people stop there. It is important to look further down the label for the total fat, percent daily value, total carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals, and the ingredient list.

Being aware of the ingredients and the amounts of food you’re putting in your body should be something you should practice daily. So, what do you look for on a nutrition label?
